Boston Landing at Allston-Brighton Commuter Rail

The Boston Landing Station is an MBTA Commuter Rail station serving the Allston and Brighton neighborhoods on the Framingham/Worcester Line. The project brings public rail service back to Allston-Brighton for the first time since the 1960’s. The Boston Landing station, completed in May 2017, is fully handicapped accessible with elevators and stairs leading to Arthur street and the Everett Street bridge. The project earned the Envision certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure due to the sustainability and community benefits to the Allston and Brighton neighborhoods.

Boston Landing Overview

Boston Landing is a mixed-use development encompassing approximately 15 acres of land along the Massachusetts Turnpike in Boston’s Brighton neighborhood. Located adjacent to the existing New Balance World Headquarters Building, the site is a former industrial area that once served as the region’s largest stockyard.

This revitalization will turn the area into a vibrant destination for like-minded companies, with a focus on work/life balance. Boston Landing’s vision is to create a state-of-the-art development that complements the existing neighborhood fabric through the creation of new office space, retail stores, restaurants, and sports-related uses.
